DGCA MEDICAL EXAM: CLASS-2 & CLASS-1
Candidate must undergo a medical examination as per DGCA India requirements to start the flying training. As per DGCA India requirements there are two level of medical examinations, Class-2 Medical and Class-1 Medical. Class-2 medical examination is a set of medical tests which students need to undergo from DGCA approved doctors across India. Class 1 medical being detailed medical check being done at DGCA designated IAFMedical centre’s at Delhi / Bengaluru / Jorhat & Designated Private Hospitals at Mumbai & Chennai.

DGCA CLASS 2 Medical:
- Class-2 medical is the first set of medical examination candidate need to do before Class-1 medical. Once candidate’s class 2 medical test is completed by DGC Approved doctor, their medical report is sent to DGCA Medical Cell for the further process of generating your file number for medical record.
- DGCA will generate file number for the candidate(e.g. L2/606/2019) based on all their relevant Class 2 medical reports. That file number remains with the pilot for his entire life. Generally, it takes around 1-2 months to generate the file number.
- Class 2 medical is valid for 2 years.
- Once file number of candidate is generated by DGCA, then they are eligible to apply for Class 1 medical at designated Class 1 medical centre.
- Below mentioned tests are the few medical tests among other which is required during Class 2 medical examination.

DGCA CLASS 1 MEDICAL
- Class 1 initial medical examination are conducted at Seven (7) centres across the India out of which Five (5) are of the Indian Air Force Station (AFS) and Two (2) are the civil hospitals which is approved medical centre for Class-I medical test authorized by DGCA.
- Candidate need to contact with Class 1 medical centre and get the appointment for the same.
- Once candidate’s Class 1 medical examination is completed and assessed by DGCA medical cell, the outcome of medical examination will be communicated with candidate on CA-35 form by DGCA and sent to their respective mailing address.
- Class 1 medical is valid for 1 year. However, after 40 years of candidate age Class 1 medical is valid for 6 months only.
- Class-I medical is renewed by DGCA approved doctors and need not be done at above above seven Class 1 initial medical examination centre

X-RAY CHEST PA VIEW
PURE TONE AUDIOMETRY
USG ABDOMEN & PELVIS
DILATED FUNDUS EXAMINATION
IF BMI > 30, BLOOD SUGAR, F & 2 HRS AFTER 75GM GLUCOSE ETC.
